What is the patient portal?
The patient portal is a web-based service that allows patients to have secure access to portions of their electronic medical record and to communicate with their Medical Practice clinicians online about non-urgent medical and administrative topics.
How can the patient portal assist me?
The patient portal allows patients to manage their personal health information at their own convenience. You will be able to securely and confidentially:
Exchange messages with our practice
Review and pay billing statements
Research health topics
Review Personal Health Information
Complete and update medical forms
Update your profile and contact information
Please do not request same-day appointments via the patient portal. For urgent medical matters, please contact us during our regular office hours at (614) 268.8800. In case of a medical emergency, call 911.
Who can use the patient portal?
Any active patient may be eligible to register for and use the patient portal.
How secure is the patient portal?
Patient Portal is powered by Athena Health. When using the patient portal, all communications between you and your physician’s office are carried over a secure, encrypted connection.
This secure connection utilizes industry standard Secure Socket Layer (SSL) 128-bit encryption to ensure secure data transmission as well as server-side digital certificate authentication.
To prohibit unauthorized access, all medical information is stored behind Athena Health’s firewall in their electronic medical record system. Additionally, you set your own PIN number.
